I have been thoroughly enjoying my workouts at the Powerhouse Gym Elite with Jennifer (Jenn) as my personal trainer and highly recommend her to anyone interested in personal training! I started training with Jenn for about two months ago after discovering her through her fantastic yoga classes. Once I learned she also offered personal training, I signed up for a trial session and have been loving the sessions ever since. As someone new to personal training, I feel significantly stronger both physically and mentally. I was initially apprehensive about personal training due to previous back surgery, as I found other trial personal training sessions to be quite intense and potentially risky for injury. However, I also wanted to incorporate more than just yoga into my exercise routine to build a stronger core and develop more muscle. Jenn tailors each session to focus on my specific needs. Given my history of back issues, I requested to incorporate some yoga into each session, which has been incredibly helpful in easing into the weight training. I no longer experience back pain, and my core has come much stronger, and I am now lifting significantly heavier weights than when I started. Outside of our sessions, Jenn offers tremendous support as well - she regularly checks in, sends encouraging messages, and provides valuable resources via email, including nutrition tips, at-home workout recommendations, and tracking exercises in previous sessions etc. Jenn is an amazing coach and trainer, radiating loving and vibrant energy. I have made much progress toward my goals thanks to her consistent support and guidance. Jenn has a great balance between keeping the energy light and exciting, without making anyone feel on the spot. Instead of just calling out instructions, she walked around, gave easy-going tips, and laughed right along with us when a pose got a little wobbly. She made the whole "trust" part of partner yoga feel more like a teamwork game.

It was a nice change of pace from my NYE's yearly resolution to just grind in the gym. The South Bay location was easy to find, with plenty of parking (always a win).”

“I’ve been working with Jen at Flow and Glow Yoga for almost a month now and absolutely love coming to her classes! Jen is also a physical trainer at the PowerElite Gym so she is very knowledgeable and experienced in teaching different exercises that are very beginner friendly but can be customized to become more challenging (“spicer”) if you feel up to it. I love the way she teaches and transitions between each exercise slowly but we still go through multiple exercises within the hour and I feel accomplished at the end of the class. I enjoy coming to Jen’s classes so much I’m willing to drive through 20-30 min of traffic 1-2x per week to come and sweat it out. Really can’t recommend her enough as an instructor!”
